This work deals with the introduction of a new subject Education for communication at the first stage of a particular primary school. The course is focused on the social development of children through the topics of primary prevention. The aim of the thesis is to reveal the need for a change in prevention programs, to describe the connections between the parties involved in this change, and to evaluate this change. For this research, respondents representing individual grades of the first grade, who completed the relevant training and started teaching a new subject, as well as the school principal and prevention methodologists, were elected. The data obtained from semi-structured in-depth interviews with educators, the director and the prevention methodologist were coded and evaluated by a short summary and table. The change was evaluated after observing the individual classes in the classroom. Research has shown that the change initially arose from the need for teachers to influence their schedule and spend more time with children in their tribal class. It also turned out that in the first grade, teachers lack a classroom class and have reservations about the number of optional subjects that the school has profiled. Initially, educators were looking for ways to influence the schedule and optional...

Changes in the school preventive program of risky behavior in the period of distance education at selected primary school.
Kučerová Císlerová, Marie ; Richterová, Magdalena (advisor) ; Kočí, Jana (referee)
The diploma thesis "Changes in the school preventive program of risky behavior in the period of distance learning at a selected elementary school" follows up the school preventive program before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The work is structured in two parts. The first, theoretical part clarifies fundamental terms, such as prevention, prevention program, prevention methodology and others. The second, practical part describes the conducted research, which took place in two steps. First step contains an analysis of the prevention program. Attention is paid mainly to the changes, development, creation process and causes of changes in the given program over the last 3 years. This is followed by an in-depth interview with methodist of prevention. The period of distance learning pointed out some aspects which are leading to changes in the prevention programs at the selected school, but also to a certain unpreparedness in the prevention of risky behavior in a different environment. Changes based on the analysis and the interview are summarized in the final part of the thesis. This study could be a guideline for a formation of a preventive program of risky behavior in the case of distance learning.
Knowledge among adolescents at a select high school about the effects of alcohol on the human body and their experience with alcohol use.
Jordánová, Denisa ; Váchová, Alena (advisor) ; Kovaříková, Miroslava (referee)
This diploma thesis concerns the most used drug, alcohol. The theoretical part consists of chapters concerning alcohol characteristics, pharmacology effects of alcohol consumption on the human body, and alcohol consumption by youths. Moreover, the thesis defines addiction and focuses on drug issues and their prevention. This diploma thesis mainly aims to reveal the knowledge of alcohol effects and consequent risks of high school students in all years based on the number of correct answers. The minor aims are to find the comprehension of given students in alcohol law, the first experience with alcoholic beverages, the frequency of alcohol consumption in the previous 30 days, and the way of alcoholic beverages providing. The aims have been assessed based on a questionnaire focused on alcohol knowledge and alcohol consumption. According to the questionnaire findings, the students appear to have a decent knowledge of alcohol's effect on the human body and the consequent risks of alcohol consumption. Also, most of them have already had an experience with alcohol. Furthermore, the practical part incorporates an interactive lecture proposal focusing on alcohol and its consequence on the human body. The lecture aims at students in high school's first and second years. KEYWORDS alcohol, dependence,...
Effectiveness of Fall Prevention Intervention Programmes in Nursing Practice
HOROVÁ, Jana
Patient falls and fall injuries have become one of the most common adverse events reported by health care providers due to all the circumstances associated with hospitalisation.Worldwide preventive actions in the field of patient falls focus on soft factors, predominantly on the education of healthcare professionals and patients, and organisational culture.Due to the dynamic development of information technologies and the increasing digital literacy of the professional and lay population, the e-learning field is an increasingly sought-after form of education. The empirical part's main objective was to determine the effectiveness of general nurses' education through information technology as an intervention programme to prevent patient falls. The main objective was divided into consecutive partial objectives.A mixed approach was used. The study uses a observational-interventional design. The first partial objective,an analysis of patient falls, was investigated using a quantitative research method.Patient falls concerning a major health care provider were analysed over five years. The ??2-test or Fisher's exact test was used to test statistical relations. The Kruskal-Wallis test was used to test nonparametric variables.Regression analysis was applied to evaluate the trend in the incidence of fall injuries with regard to high-risk patients. The second research phase was based on the previous phase results, whereby a qualitative methodological approach was selected. The aim was to detect areas of falls focused on the specifics of the clinical environment, which were suitable for being included in the educational programme.Data was collected through a semi-structured interview. The third partial objective was creating and implementing an e-learning educational programme for general nurses in a clinical environment.Within the pilot testing, the properties of knowledge tests, content validity, and reliability were verified using Spearman's rank correlation coefficient and Cronbach's alpha. The effectiveness of the established e-learning programme (fourth partial objective)was verified by comparing the incidence of patient falls before and after the established intervention.Bonferroni correction and test of equality of parameters of two alternative distributions were used to verify the homogeneity of the compared groups of patients. With regard to the possible influence of confounders and to verify the incidence of injuries caused by falls, the method of statistical matching (propensity score matching) was subsequently used.Valuation of the e-learning programme's effectiveness with regard to the participants' level of knowledge was performed by comparing the results of the input and output knowledge test, for which the Stuart-Maxwell test and Fisher's exact test were used. The analysis of partial objectives of individual research phases was carried out separately;the objectives logically followed, and fulfilling the previous objective conditioned their fulfilment. The test of equality of parameters of two alternative distributions allowed for comparing groups of patients that could be considered equal. There was a decrease in the incidence of patient injuries due to falls in both disciplines (all injuries in the surgical discipline; p ? 0.05 and severe injuries in the internal medicine discipline; p ? 0.01).The results proved the influence of the e-learning educational programme on specific clinical practice indicators.Statistical matching eliminated confounding factors and confirmed a statistically significant reduction in the incidence of falls in patients with internal medicine injuries (p? 0,05).There was also an improvement in the participants' knowledge in the output knowledge test (p ? 0,001). Education of medical personnel based on the principles of science and the needs of clinical practice is a possible effective preventive intervention in patients falls and efforts to minimise the occurrence their consequences.
